Stitched by You: Hannah Kisley

North Carolina stitcher, Hannah Kisley, recently finished these two beautiful bunny projects with me. You can find Hannah's stitching patterns and thread colors for each design at the bottom of this post.

Hannah grew up in the Raleigh, North Carolina, but moved up north to Carlisle, Pennsylvania for college. After four years of studying biology and running track and cross country in the cold and snow, she migrated back down South. Hannah now works in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, specifically for a company who makes the flu vaccine.

Stitching runs in Hannah's family. Her grandmother and great-grandmother did a variety of Swedish embroidery, and her mom loves to cross stitch. Hannah's interest in stitching was peaked when she saw Krista from Penny Linn Designs talking about needlepoint in her blog.

Hannah chose the girl bunny during the Lee Long trunk show. Her dachshund was going through back problems while she was stitching the first bunny. He ended up having surgery, so this project was just the distraction she needed! Once she finished the girl bunny and fell in love with the precious background stitch, she knew she had to carry it through to the boy bunny!
