Canvas Conversations: Beth and Danielle from Palm Beach Lately

In 2012, sisters Beth and Danielle decided to start a blog together called Palm Beach Lately. For over a decade now, they have shared their favorite Palm Beach finds with their readers including hotels, restaurants, and shops. They find inspiration around every corner of their coastal city.

Beth has always loved people and talking, so a degree in Public Relations and Event Planning was a natural fit. After earning her degree at the University of Florida, she moved to New York City to be the Public Relations and Event Coordinator for a boutique event company, but the sunshine state drew her back home. Beth moved back to Palm Beach where she began her own PR and Event Planning business. For the next eight years, she enjoyed planning events, and during that time, she and her sister created their blog.

Danielle has always been very creative and dreamed of owning her own business. So, after acquiring a Business Administration degree from the University of Florida, she enjoyed a brief stint working in New York City before heading home to plant roots with her college sweetheart. Danielle has worked in a variety of different fields in Palm Beach before eventually working on Palm Beach Lately full-time.

Beth

Favorite needlepoint project. This one of course! We are avid tennis fans and love the feminine touch of the bow. 

On your needlepoint Wishlist. My favorite is the Brant Point Lighthouse stocking. I’ve always wanted to needlepoint a stocking. My other favorite is the pink shell. 

Dream stitching spot. Nantucket by the fireplace 

Beach or mountains. Growing up near the beach, I’ve always been a beach girl. The sand in your feet, beautiful colors of the water and calming sound of the ocean is so peaceful. 

Last book you read and liked. If For Any Reason by Courtney Walsh 

Favorite flower. light pink Peony 

Guilty pleasure. Chocolate in the bath 

On your nightstand. Bible, recent book I’m reading, picture of my family and lamp. 

Currently listening to. WayFM. I love listening to Christian music in the car. 

Currently watching. Great American Family. I was catching up on a few of the Christmas movies I missed this season. 

If there were more hours in the day I would. have a garden 

Favorite places to shop. Tuckernuck, J. Crew, LoveShackFancy, Hunter Bell, Sail to Sable and Minnow.

Can’t leave the house without. my phone 

Coffee or tea. caffeine-free tea. 

Favorite holiday to celebrate. Christmas! 

Wardrobe staples. Flowy dresses, hat, rattan bag, shell accessories and sunglasses. 

Creative inspiration.I love scrolling through Pinterest for fashion and home ideas. I also love to flip through coffee table books or magazines. 

Best piece of advice. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Life mantra. Busy is not a badge of honor.
